HELP!!!

Even if I do not know you and you have a piece of wisdom I need it. Keller has been waking up pretty consistently around 430 or 5 every morning usually not going back to sleep until his mid morning nap. What do I do? We have tried it all. Coddle him, give him a bottle, let him cry it out, go in intermittingly, put him down earlier, put him down later, other than fasting through the night we have done it. Is there any thing I am not doing? I will take any advice PLEASE!

Not sure if little dude is too little for this, but it sounds like it could work:

rhett started waking up earlier after the time change. we figured it was because it was so bright outside really early -- our solution was to hang a black-out screen behind the blinds. The room stays nice and dark and he's back to sleeping until 9am (like mommy likes it).

When Charlie was his age he started dropping his morning nap and transitioning to one nap a day. It was awkward for about 1-2 weeks b/c he kinda still needed the nap so he would get cranky but he wouldn't take it. Eventually it worked itself out and he adjusted to one nap a day. When he started taking only 1 nap a day I bumped his bedtime up 30 minutes. So now he sleeps 7:30-7:30. He is almost 2 now and every once in awhile he will wake up in the middle of the night for a week or so, and then life goes back to normal. Maybe this will just pass and everything will go back the way it was.

hey girl! tristan will go in spurts like this. he will consistenly sleep until 7:30 and then BOOM he is up at 5:15 for several days!! i think i finally figured out it is when he is teething. not much you can do, but wait it out, i suppose. it's hard when you try everything. i would say whatever you decide, be consistent. he may start to expect what he likes like a cuddle :) easier said than done as always!! no real wisdom here, just empathy!

i agree with kelly buck - rhett dropped his morning nap right around his first birthday. keller may be ready to drop that nap too. i bumped up rhett's afternoon nap to be right after lunch when we cut out his am nap.
